1. Objective

  1. Understanding the relationships among the sustainability problems throughout structuring sustainability problems in Asian city.
  2. “Structuring” is one of the methods of systems thinking. This is helpful in sustainability thinking because…

・Systems thinking give us an analytical framework to structure sustainability problems
・Conceptual representation helps other people understand your ideas

【The role of Moderator】
To explain how to do in workshop
To give some hints for making hopeful outputs
To encourage all tables making good discussions
【The role of Facilitators】
To facilitate the group discussion
To draw lines, circles, words…anything on the paper

To let everyone have opportunities to address their opinions

3. Time Table

3.1. Pre-brief　14:00～14:15

  1. Setting the group
  2. Making sure that how to do in workshop

・How to structure sustainability problems
・Aim of making sustainable solutions

3.2. Sharing “Adverse Effects”  14:15～14:35 (20min)

  1. We share “Adverse effects” in our team. That is extracted by previous presentations and documents in Members List. This is the key factor to structure sustainability problems.

3.3. Mapping components about sustainability problems 14:35～15:15 (40min)

  1. See “7. Detailed contents” as below

3.4.Short Break 15:15～15:30 (15min)
3.5 Socializing time 15:30～16:00 (30min)

  1. Go around the different tables to see what other groups came up with. If possible, one or two people remain at their table to explain to visitors about dialogue.

3.6. Ready for presentation 16:00～17:00 (60min)

  1. We might get new knowledge in socializing time. So, we try to reflect it to our map.
  2. Thinking upon target and actor, we create sustainable solutions. These might be taken the priority later.
  3. Making the presentation for competitions in Day4.
